2020 will also be a year of transformation for you, our partners and our customers. We are excited to bring you exciting innovations and increased investmentment to grow your online sales. In 2020 we will reach more customers (nationwide Cash on Delivery!) with a faster delivery experience winning the love of even more consumers than in 2019. Overall, we will improve the seller experience while being conscious of the need to build a sustainable business model.
With all this Good News we also have a few changes to support the growth plan in 2020..
- We have made changes to our commissions in a few categories. We have been sure to keep commissions as low as possible, below industry standard despite the increased investments. This is to ensure that it will not have an impact on price because we know our customers are price sensitive. However, if you would like to change your prices in relation to the new structure, kindly fill in the form HERE. Please note that any increase in price will lead to lower conversion and lower sales.
- Please note There will now also be a small charge for photoshoots and product creation.
- Since Jumia is taking all these initiatives to increase the customer base for Jumia’s sellers, we will be increasing our out of stock fees to UGX 6,000 to avoid losing any customers due to bad service resulting from out of stock items.
